Two of our Showroom associates have made the journey to Dallas to attend the International Ligthing Market. There will be over 1 million square feet of light fixture resources. Around 3,000 buyers from across the globe will be there to see whats new in the lighting industry. Buyers have access to thousands of product lines offered by the most recognized manufacturers in the lighting industry. Stay tuned to see what great products they will bring back to the Showroom!

My Green Home Giveaway Update!

As you all read in our January Newsletter the votes are in and Congratulations to Jason Harlos and Laura Kate Whitney. The winners of the 2011 Green Home Giveaway. Today we visited their house to determine what Mayer Lighting Showroom can do to help make their house green! We evaluated each room and took notes of what they already have and what needs an update. Now to the drawing boards to determine what is best for them. Stay tuned to see what Mayer Lighting Showroom will do! Below are some before pictures.

Out with the Old & In with the New!

WELCOME 2012! It is a new year and it is time to get rid of the old and start the new year fresh. Below are a few easy tips to spice up and change your home lighting for 2012!

* Dimmers: they can create a more soothing and romantic feel in any room. You'll have control over the intensity of light around your home and save energy at the same time.

* Under-cabinet lights:  install in the kitchen, desk area, or workroom. The light will shine directly on the work area and make any task easier. Switch them off when you leave the job.

* Lamps: can be added to any room to change the ambiance and style. Small fix, makes a HUGE difference!

* Recessed Lighting: You can direct the light to artwork, reading nooks, or work spaces.

* Chandelier:  adds elegance to any room and comes in so many different options to meet everyone's’ taste.

* Landscape Lighting: put in yard and flower beds to have a well lit house. Looks nice and you never have to enter the space in the dark.

* Layer: Use a lamp, up-light, and ceiling fixture all in one room. The layers of light will add interest and provide numerous lighting options.
